Digital learning tools are playing an increasingly central role in the learning process of physical concepts at universities. They offer numerous advantages at the individual, collaborative, and external levels, e.g., for individualized support, specific collaborative experiences, or the diversification of tasks.
Ob this website we present five interactive applications (known as Virtual Instruments or VIs) created with LabVIEW on the topics of Fourier transforms, convolution, filtering, PID controllers, and correlation. These were tested in practice during a specialized lecture course at a university. Guided interviews were conducted to gather students’ experiences and suggestions for improvement regarding the use of the VIs. Their potential for teaching fundamental physical concepts of signal processing is discussed. The VIs created are made available for free use. A referring Paper is submitted.
